In numerous cancers miR-186 has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation and act as an antioncogenic miR [28–30] furthermore previous work from Zhu et al. shows that miR-186 can promote MErT by enhancing E-cadherin expression and suppressing vimentin [31] Upregulation of the let-7 family has been shown to be involved cancer cell differentiation, and to inhibit liver metastasis by >50%.
