Expression of this variant was higher in ER-positive breast tumours compared with ER-negative tumours, supporting the findings of Muscat et al. [25], who in their study of 66 invasive breast cancers and 50 normal breast samples observed that NR5A2 mRNA expression was greater in ER-positive tumours compared with ER-negative tumours and was negatively correlated with tumour grade [25]. The gene discussed is NR5A2; the disease is invasive breast carcinoma.
