AKT1 and gastric cancer: Intriguingly, MGC-803R cells were shown to exhibit higher levels of phosphorylated Akt (S473)(p-Akt) than MGC-803 cells, but the phosphorylated ERK(p-ERK) showed similar levels in these two cells (Figure 2C), indicating that PI3K/Akt pathway is specifically enhanced in Taxol-resistant gastric cancer cells.
