In this regard, several biochemical and molecular approaches have been performed: 1) to investigate if PPARγ regulates lipid metabolism in lung cancer cells; 2) to elucidate the function of PPARγ sumoylation in regulating cancer lipid metabolism; and 3) to assess the correlation between PPARγ-mediated lipid metabolism and REDOX status upon TZD treatment. This evidence concerns the gene PPARG and lung cancer.
