FURIN and endometrial cancer: To investigate the importance of α-DG-N removal in early stage endometrial cancer development, we utilized our previously established Ishikawa cell lines stably expressing wild-type-DG (WT-DG, which contains the furin-cleavage site) and mutant-DG (Mut-DG, in which the PC-cleavage site was mutated to prevent α-DG-N cleavage) [30].
