A recent study by Yang et al reported that LSD2 acts as an E3 ubiquitin ligase and inhibits A549 lung cancer cell growth through proteasomal degradation of O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) [31], suggesting that LSD2 may inhibit the growth of certain types of cancer in a ubiquitination-dependent manner. This evidence concerns the gene OGT and lung cancer.
