Consistent with the result of DOXY‐inducible mito‐p53 cells, both ND2 and ND4 mRNA levels were significantly decreased in the frontal cortex of patients with AD compared to normal subjects while there was no significant change in the mRNA level of 12S rRNA (P < 0.05) (Fig. 6B and S7). This evidence concerns the gene MT-ND2 and Alzheimer disease.
