Paired with the aggressiveness of BRAF vs. RAS mutation–positive thyroid tumors [64–66], our results support a connection between BRAF mutations, JAK-STAT signaling upregulation (including STAT3 activation), and THCA metastasis, suggesting the role of STAT3 and other JAK-STAT family genes in oncogenesis in THCA. This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and thyroid tumor.
