Several different mouse models have been used to study retinoblastoma, such as the transgenic model that expresses the oncogenic simian virus 40 T antigen (TAg) under the control of the luteinizing hormone β subunit [103], the Chx10-Cre; RbLox/−; p53Lox/−; p107−/− knockout model [33], the Chx10-Cre; RbLox/Lox; p130−/−; p107+/− knockout model [37], the Pax6 α-Cre; Rbloxp/loxp; p107−/− knockout model [34], and the Pax6 α-Cre; Rbfl/fl;; p107 fl/fl; TET-MYCN knockout model [31], to mention a few. Here, VSX2 is linked to retinoblastoma.
