Our data showed that the numbers of M1 macrophages and the expression levels of M1 markers, such as iNOS and IL-6 [10, 38, 39, 40], but not M2 markers, such as Arg-1, CD206 and TGF-β1 [9, 10, 38, 39], in the infarcted myocardium after MI were significantly lower in AIM‒/‒ mice than in WT mice. Here, CD5L is linked to myocardial infarction.
