Because malnutrition may influence CKD progression, we further performed multivariable analysis in patients with albumin <3.5 g/dL (n = 50), and found that GNRI was significantly related to progression to dialysis (per 1 score; HR, 0.865; 95% CI, 0.798 to 0.938; p < 0.001) and outperformed albumin and BMI of the model. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and nutritional deficiency disease.
