PIK3C2A and Hypokalemia: In a retrospective study of 7 patients with dengue myositis who had generalized weakness, a mild serum creatin phosphokinase (CPK) elevation was noted in 3 individuals with hypokalemia, whereas three cases with fulminant presentation and respiratory muscle involvement had markedly elevated CPK levels (16,590-117,200 U/L) with normal potassium amounts.
