The more recent generation Mek inhibitor Selumitinib (AZD6244; ARRY-142886), is a selective non-ATP competitive inhibitor of Mek1/2 which has demonstrated anti-tumorigenic properties in preclinical studies of colorectal carcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) melanoma and BC [11, 23, 24]. This evidence concerns the gene MAP2K7 and breast cancer.
