In vivo, compounds such as genistein, jatrorrhizine hydrochloride, and curcumin inhibit VM in uveal and choroidal melanoma, respectively, via regulating VE-cadherin and EphA2 expression [390,391,392], whereas the antioxidant resveratrol has been reported to suppress VM in a murine melanoma model by decreasing the expression of VEGF and its receptors 1 and 2 [393]. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and choroidal melanoma.
