GPER1 and adenomyosis: Whilst it is already known that the expressions of estrogen nuclear receptors ER-β (but not ER-α) and progesterone receptor are different between women with and without adenomyosis [4], the additional finding in this study that GPER expression is also altered in women with adenomyosis confirms the notion that adenomyosis is associated with alteration in several different steroid receptors.
