Differences in cancer-specific survival remained statistically significant after adjustment for established prognostic factors (grade of malignancy, tumor extent, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis, ECOG performance status, and gender) in the multiple regression analysis for ccRCC patients, and confirmed AR expression in over 5% of the tumor cells (HR 0.65; 95% CI, 0.46–0.92) as an independent favorable prognostic marker. This evidence concerns the gene AR and neoplasm.
