EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma: EGFR targeted therapies have been developed in preclinical studies as well as clinical use in patients [7], the most successful targeted therapeutic drugs are monoclonal antibodies, that directly interfere with ligand-receptor binding and EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (osimertinib and erlotinib etc.), which are effectively used in patients with advanced EGFR-mutated NSCLC [8].
