Interestingly, in another publication of the same group, this time analyzing the association among the CDKN2B-AS1 SNPs and glaucoma features among POAG patients [52], they reported that for several of the protective CDKN2B-AS1 SNPs with minor alleles associated with reduced POAG risk, POAG patients carrying the minor allele had higher IOP. The gene discussed is CDKN2B; the disease is open-angle glaucoma.
