Preoperative diagnostic markers had higher mean values in cancer than in benign tumors, including serum CA-125 levels (176.7 U/mL ± 429.3 U/mL vs. 1539.4 U/mL ± 2278.0 U/mL; p = 0.002), ROMA (10.8 % ± 17.4 % vs. 63.0 % ± 36.5 %; p < 0.001), and RMI (642.7 ± 1807.5 vs. 4630.7 ± 7632.6; p = 0.008) (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene MUC16 and benign neoplasm.
