Our studies revealed that knockdown of XIST resulted in downregulation of EZH2 and reintroduction of EZH2 without the binding site for miR-101 significantly attenuated the anti-proliferation effects after knockdown of XIST, which is in concordance with a recent report demonstrating oncogenic roles of XIST in gastric cancer [19]. Here, EZH2 is linked to gastric cancer.
