Based on the reports described above, the favorable prognosis we have observed for NEDD9 overexpression in IR-AML patients is consistent with the notion that overexpression of NEDD9 in AML cells may block their migratory and dissemination capacities, in contrast to the stimulation of in vitro migration or in vivo dissemination reported for cells on lymphoid or solid malignancies. The gene discussed is NEDD9; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
