In particular, we observed that the homozygous recessive genotype in the Fok1 polymorphism is associated with a higher rate of tumor histological regression (28% vs 8% in homozygous dominant and heterozygous patients; p= 0.05) and a higher incidence of BRAF mutations (100% vs 36% in homozygous dominant and heterozygous patients; p= 0.01) in the primary melanoma. This evidence concerns the gene BRAF and melanoma.
