Among women with low Hb, poor iron status, or malaria at enrollment (n = 126 to 162), women who received LNS scored 0.4 to 0.7 SD higher than those who received IFA in digit span backward and/or verbal fluency, 95% CI [0.06–0.29, 0.68–1.07], with scores of those who received MMN in between the other two arms. This evidence concerns the gene GSTM1 and malaria.
