Currently, several possible ubiquitin ligases of AMPK‐α1 including Cidea, MuRF1, and MAGE‐A3/A6‐TRIM28 have been reported to ubiquitinate AMPK‐α or β in muscle cells, adipose tissue, cervical cancer, lung cancer, and colon cancer cells (Pineda et al., 2015; Zungu et al., 2011). The gene discussed is MAGEA3; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
