Loss of function or expression of ANXA1 gene has been detected in multiple human cancers; as esophageal squamous cell carcinoma [63, 64], gastric cancer [65], thyroid cancer [66], head and neck cancer [67], prostate cancer [68], endometrial carcinoma [69], and B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphomas [70]. This evidence concerns the gene ANXA1 and gastric cancer.
