Because a previous group reported that TAP1 and TAP2 were downregulated in a limited number of high-grade breast cancer lesions [27], we sought to determine 1) whether TAP1 and TAP2 were downregulated in a large cohort of breast cancer patients and 2) whether downregulation was specific for certain clinicopathologic subsets in this cohort of patients. The gene discussed is TAP2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
