The increased expression of MMP-9 in endometrial cancer is correlated with the overexpression of other proteins, for example, with overexpression of Ki67 and tumor necrosis factor alpha-induced protein-8 [22], epidermal growth factor [23], and fibroblast growth factor [24], as well as with the increased activity of telomerase, and overexpression of catalytic protein hTERT [25, 26]. This evidence concerns the gene MMP9 and endometrial cancer.
