In summary, this study showed that fasting could induce autophagy of colon cancer cells and then downregulate the level of adenosine, which increased M2 polarization of TAMs through inactivating JAK1/STAT3, and eventually inhibitted tumor growth by promoting antitumor immunity (Figure 8) in vitro and in vivo.
