PIK3C2B and cancer: For this purpose, a cohort of 362 NSCLC-SQCC was selectively screened for all four reported alterations in PIK3C2B. To embed the sequencing results into a broader context, clinical outcomes of a set of SQCC sequenced by the cancer genome atlas (TCGA) [26,27] were analyzed with respect to alterations in PIK3C2B. Moreover, the functional impact of C1181F and H1208R was assessed in relation to its potential to hyper-activate downstream PI3K/ERK signaling in HEK293 cells.
