A notable exception from previous studies is Tsai, et al. [46] who found no evidence for anticipation in 475 parent-child pairs from the Johns Hopkins Hereditary Colorectal Cancer Registry; in part this may be explained by differences in eligibility as only 14 of the 475 parent-child pairs analyzed had verified disease-predispoing germline MMR gene mutations. The gene discussed is MRC1; the disease is colorectal cancer.
