Taken together, the data indicates that the siRNA-mediated silencing of Bnip3, Cav1, Gsn, Egfr and Lgals3 functions reduces the migratory and invasion capacity of RCC (Renca) cells, whereas silencing of the Pax8 or Itgb2 genes deregulates cell migration only. This evidence concerns the gene PAX8 and renal cell carcinoma.
