Although no difference was observed between the CH and CH/PS groups in the expression of hepatic fat oxidative regulators (CPT1α or PPARα), pups from PS-supplemented mothers demonstrated a reduction (p < 0.05) in several genes that regulate fatty acid synthesis including PGC1β (0.5-fold of CH), SREBP1c (0.43-fold of CH), FAS (0.55-fold of CH), and ACC (0.49-fold of CH) (Fig. 2b). This evidence concerns the gene C4B and cyclic hematopoiesis.
