The pld protein is seen to be associated with infection although is described with a small role but it seen important for the viability after the infection (McKean et al., 2007), and recently it was described that lymphocyte activation is inhibited by the C. pseudotuberculosis sphingomyelinase through the suppression of the ORAI receptors (Combs and Lu, 2015). Here, GPLD1 is linked to infection.
