Using a homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA IR), we found that, once more, TRPC1 KO mice fed a HF diet and exercised were less insulin resistant (p < 0.01) than WT mice fed a HF diet and exercised (Fig. 3D) although this difference was not because of altered expression of GLUT4 in the subcutaneous adipose tissue (Fig. 4A) or skeletal muscle (Fig. 4B). The gene discussed is INS; the disease is hydrops fetalis.
