H19 and non-small cell lung carcinoma: Emerging evidence suggests that the changes in lncRNAs are associated with the development of various diseases.25, 26 Several studies reported that lncRNA can act as ceRNA for miRNA and might be involved in physiological and pathological processes.27, 28 Kallen et al.29 reported that the increased expression of paternally imprinted H19 lncRNA may act as a sponge for let-7, thereby explaining the downregulation of this miRNA in non-small-cell lung cancer types.
