PEA15 and neoplasm: Similarly, PED has been reported to be overexpressed in other cancer types such as breast cancer,29 lung cancer31 and esophageal carcinoma,32 where it promotes tumor growth33, 34, 35 and is associated with poor survival.32 By contrast, it was associated with good prognosis in ovarian cancer when overexpressed.25 This difference is mainly explained by its phosphorylation status.
