In this study, we report on two high throughput screenings (HTS) aimed at identifying drugs that are effective in counteracting neuroblastoma cell growth through the down-regulation of PHOX2B mRNA, whose excessive expression is likely to play a role in neuroblastoma pathogenesis [29], by targeting PHOX2B promoter and 3′ untranslated region. Here, PHOX2B is linked to neuroblastoma.
