Based on the findings that WNT5A can reduce β-catenin activity in colon cancer cells [23] and that β-catenin signaling induces aerobic glycolysis in breast cancer cells [8], we explored the possibility that WNT5A impairs aerobic glycolysis in breast cancer cells via impaired β-catenin signaling.
