To further study the mechanism by which combined drug treatment led to decreased hyperglycemia-induced oxidative stress, the expression of proteins involved in the oxidative stress pathway, including nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), glutamate-cysteine ligase catalytic subunit (GCLC), and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) were investigated in the renal cortical tissues. The gene discussed is GCLC; the disease is Hyperglycemia.
