Interestingly, while vorinostat significantly increased the CXCL8 expression in ovarian cancer SKOV3, OVCAR3, and CAOV3 cells, as well as in cervical cancer HeLa cells, the CXCL8 expression in CTCL Hut-78 cells was actually inhibited by 1 and 2 μM vorinostat (Figure 1), which approximately corresponds to the clinically used concentrations [32].
