ERBB2 and breast cancer: Based on this performance evaluation, these two biomarkers could potentially be applied to lung cancerdiagnostic evaluations, similar to a previous report that in addition to breast cancer, the oncogene ERBB2-HER2 is amplified in subgroups of glioblastomas and stomach, uterine, bladder, and lung cancers (thus suggesting possible repurposing of the anti-HER2 antibody trastuzumab for these cancers) [10].
