The data of hepatitis B virus infections were mixed with healthy controls and results showed that SAA1 (AUC = 84.3%, specificity = 87.0%, sensitivity = 80.0%) was a better biomarker than APOE (AUC = 74.5%, specificity = 52.2%, sensitivity = 100.0%) in discriminating HCMV infections from healthy controls and hepatitis B virus infections (Fig. 5). This evidence concerns the gene APOE and cytomegalovirus infection.
