RASSF1 and cancer: During the last two decades, it turned out that RASSF1A is frequently inactivated in all types of human cancers and promoter methylation of RASSF1A has been revealed in cancers from breast [27], liver [28], pancreas [29], prostate [30], renal cell [31,32], brain [33], gastric [34], head and neck [20], pheochromocytoma [35], thyroid [36] and others [31,37,38].
