Next, we analysed the thrombin peptides generated by bacterial proteinases such as elastase of the Gram-negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and aureolysin and V8 proteases of the Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus, two bacteria commonly found in non-healing ulcers and infected burn wounds (Figure S3).
