In recent years, lncRNA GAS5 has attracted considerable interest due to evidence indicating that its downregulation in a wide variety of neoplasms, including ovarian cancer [4, 5], prostate cancer [6, 7], non-small cell lung cancer [8, 9], gastric cancer [10, 11], colorectal cancer [12, 13], and hepatocellular carcinoma [14, 15], is generally associated with poor prognosis [10–14]. The gene discussed is GAS5; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
