Increasing frequency of PTEN loss was seen in association with increasing pathologic stage (p<0.0001), increasing Gleason score (p<0.0001), presence of lymph node metastases (p<0.0001), higher pre-operative PSA levels (p<0.0001) and with a higher frequency of positive surgical margins (p<0.0001). Here, PTEN is linked to metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
