IGHG3 and malaria: To address these gaps in the literature we sought to assess the effect of maternal P. falciparum infection during pregnancy and placental P. falciparum infection on maternofetal transfer efficiency of IgG1 and IgG3 against several malaria antigens and a non-malaria antigen (measles) in an area of high P. falciparum endemicity in Papua New Guinea (PNG), and an area of low P. falciparum endemicity at the Thailand-Myanmar Border Area (TMBA).
