All mice by 18 weeks of age developed high‐grade mouse prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (mPIN) characterized by disorganized glandular structures with hypercellularity, which also retained CK8‐positive luminal cells and a basal layer of SMA‐positive cells (Fig. 1E). The gene discussed is SMN1; the disease is prostate intraepithelial neoplasia.
