We showed that ligand-dependent EphA7 signaling resulted in the downregulation of tumor volume and the enhancement of tumor cell apoptosis in primary tumors, and significantly inhibited the proliferation, migration and invasion of PCa cells, as well as induced PCa cell apoptosis, whereas ligand-independent EphA7 signaling did not have this effect. This evidence concerns the gene EPHA7 and posterior cortical atrophy.
