Thus, although the general pattern of chemokine receptor expression by T lymphocytes in carcinoma tissue as compared with unaffected mucosa was quite similar, there were clear and statistically significant differences with regard to a number of chemokine receptors, i.e., CCR2 and CXCR5 in CD4+ T lymphocytes, and CCR2, CCR9, and CXCR5 in CD8+ T lymphocytes.
